Deck Watch is a five to seven minute radio show featuring Coast Guard news across the state of Alaska. The feature for this week is an interview with Chief Mike McDonnell of Coast Guard Fire and Rescue in Kodiak, Alaska, about a recent pit-burn aircraft response training.
This week’s trivia question is: this island was the site of World War II Battery 7 of the Kodiak Harbor Defenses and other assorted armament and quarters completed on Feb. 11, 1944. What is the name of this Kodiak vicinity island? We’ll post the answer next week!
