The crew of the cutter Roanoke Island takes a break in Port Chatham after an aggressive eight-day law enforcement patrol off Kodiak Island to ensure the Pacific cod fleet is in compliance with fisheries and safety regulations.

The cutter’s crew has returned to their homeport of Homer. The Roanoke Island is a 110-foot Island Class patrol boat, one of six stationed in Alaska.
