>Coast Guard presents first C4IT Service Center Enlisted Petty Officer of the Year award

Congratulations to Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Trevor Paternoster, of ESU Kodiak, the Coast Guard’s first enlisted C4IT Service Center Enlisted Petty Officer of the Year.

IT2 Paternoster is pictured with Mr. Mark Powell, director of the Coast Guard C4IT Service Center in Alexandria, Va., and Master Chief Daryl Bletso, the C4IT Service Center command master chief, following a presentation recognizing Paternoster as the very first active duty C4IT Service Center Enlisted Petty Officer of the Year May 4, 2010 at ESU Kodiak.

IT2 Paternoster was recognized for outstanding service in the area of information systems operation and maintenance. Additionally, he was responsible for rectifying an issue with the internet webwasher security filter system that was affecting Coast Guardsmen throughout the service when they attempted to access approved Coast Guard sites.

The C4IT Service Center Enlisted Petty Officer of the Year program was recently developed and approved by senior leadership as a way to recognize elite technicians Coast Guard wide for their efforts supporting the service.
