Pelican Students Tour Air Station Sitka

High School Students from the small town of Pelican, Alaska toured Air Station Sitka late last week. The visit, coordinated by the Department of Labor, was the final part of the students’ visit to Sitka. The visit was aimed at exposing the students to different careers and coincided with the town’s World of Work job fair, at which the Coast Guard had a strong presence. LT Josh Tabor explained the missions of Air Station Sitka to the students and gave them a presentation on the Coast Guard’s most modern helicopter, the MH-60T. Photo by AST3 Nathan Newberg.
