Sycamore crew assists vessel Janene near Hoonah

HOONAH, Alaska - The Coast Guard Cutter Sycamore and crew tow the 44-foot fishing vessel Janene with two crewmembers aboard 25 miles southwest of Cross Sound after the fishing vessel became disabled July 16, 2011. Sector Juneau watchstanders received a report from the crew of the Janene July 15 stating their vessel was disabled and adrift but in no immediate danger. The Coast Guard Cutter Sycamore and crew tow the 44-foot fishing vessel Janene with two crewmembers aboard 25 miles southwest of Cross Sound after the fishing vessel became disabled July 16, 2011.

Sector Juneau watchstanders received a report from the crew of the 44-foot fishing vessel Janene July 15 stating their vessel was disabled and adrift but in no immediate danger about 25 miles southwest of Cross Sound.  The Coast Guard Cutter Sycamore and crew was able to assist by towing the Janene  The Sycamore is a 225-foot buoy tender homeported in Cordova.
