District 17 Admiral provides television interview about Coast Guard Arctic operations

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Coast Guard District 17 Commander Rear Adm. Thomas Ostebo discusses the Coast Guard’s Arctic missions and responsibilities during an Anchorage television interview with Donald Nokinba Acker, Barrow Arctic Science Consortium field supervisor Aug. 18, 2011.

During the interview, for a KACN-TV news production to be televised in October 2011, Ostebo addressed questions concerning environmental pollution response, search and rescue capabilities and how to continue to grow the Coast Guard’s relationship with the communities of Northern Alaska.
