Kodiak-based Chiefs host seniors for lunch

Chief Petty Officer Rob Delano serves coffee, pie and whipped cream to Eric Tieger, a guest at the Chief Petty Officers Association annual seniors luncheon, Wednesday at the Golden Anchor on Coast Guard Base Kodiak.

The Chief’s Association of Kodiak has been serving a holiday meal to the seniors of Kodiak for more than 35 years. The Chief’s Association of Juneau hosted their annual holiday dinner Dec. 10, 2011

Coast Guard units also deliver Santa with gifts to remote areas of Alaska in December to spread holiday cheer.
