"A saying I'm fond of is 'half of being lucky is knowing you're lucky.' I definitely meet that definition. This Thanksgiving I'm grateful for the things anybody would express gratitude for: family, health, and friends. In addition I'd like to add that I'm grateful for this year of active duty in a place I love. I'm grateful for the opportunity to further my career and the adventures I will have in this beautiful state." - Lt. Heikki Laukkanen, Coast Guard Sector Anchorage prevention department.
